NUMBER TWO:ULLEVI STADIUM
Ullevi Stadium has a great history of hosting numerous iconic sporting moments and international championships. It has been witness to breathtaking victories, heart-stopping clashes and the emergence of new legends. Ullevi is a multi-purpose stadium in the city center of Gothenburg. Originally built to host the 1958 FIFA World Cup, the stadium also opened its doors to host the 1995 World Athletics Championships and the 2006 European Athletics Championships.
The name Ullevi roughly means “Ull’s kingdom or temple” and relates to Ull, the god of games in old norse mythology.

Within the stadium, you’ll find a cozy café offering a variety of refreshments and light meals. Available items include coffee, pastries, candy, drinks, wraps, hot dogs and salads. Additionally, there will be a food court serving a variety of dishes.
BAG BAN
We want to inform all visitors and non-accredited individuals that bags are not allowed in the stands at the arenas during the championship. This policy follows the bag ban implemented for events at arenas in Sweden.
The bag ban does not apply to competitors with equipment and materials essential for the competitions or to accredited individuals, such as coaches or media, as long as they are within the competition area.
Exceptions are made for medical equipment and diaper bags. Please be prepared for bag inspections at the entrance.
